A pure crêpe de Chine silk fabric.
Silk is a natural fiber of animal origin. Obtained from the cocoons of the larvae of the mulberry Bombyx mori, commonly called ""silkworm"", it is a soft and light fiber giving a flowing line to garments. Crape is a silk, wool, or polyester fabric of a gauzy texture, having a peculiar crisp or crimpy appearance.
Silk crape is woven of hard spun silk yarn in the gum or natural condition. Crêpe de Chine is the thinest version of crapes.
Hand wash in cold or warm water to avoid shrinking.
No biological detergent. Dissolve detergent entirely before washing garment.
No chlorine. Do not leave to soak. Do not wring nor scrub.
Rinse and squeeze gently: do not wring; no spin-drying.
Flat dip-dry to avoid garment to lose its original shape. Do not sun dry nor leave close to direct heat.
No tumble-dry. Do not dry on hanger.
Cool iron, inside out.
