COLLECTIONS FOR THE FUTURE
NATURAL FABRICS
Cotton, an iconic fibre for American Vintage, is used for the essentials in our Kids wardrobe: jersey, fleece, knitwear and denim. Here and there it is mixed with linen for lightness. And sometimes with a touch of elastane, for more comfort.
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
68% of the clothes in the AMV Kids collections are made in Europe (mainly in Portugal and Bulgaria), 11% come from a factory that has implemented sustainable processes (less water for washing and reuse of water) and 28% are made from organically-grown cotton.
WELL THOUGHT-OUT COLOURS
31% of the items in the Kids collection are washed after dyeing using the Soft Fade out technique (without chemicals that are harmful to the environment, this process significantly reduces water consumption and therefore energy consumption). For 7% of the items, a mineral dye was used: no environmentally harmful chemicals either, but natural origin mineral pigments, a water reuse system and (bingo) 50% water and energy saved.
At American Vintage, we understand that children grow up...at their own pace. And that a three-year-old can sometimes wear a size 5. Or vice versa! So for this Kids collection, we designed inclusive sizes by age group. Ages 3-5 wear S. Ages 7-9 wear M. And ages 11-13 wear L. Almost like the big boys! Unisex clothes that are oversized enough to be worn for a long time, and year after year by the whole family.

- I am 34 years old: can I now dress like my 7 year old?
Yes! A selection of adult clothes has been adapted to the mini size so you can match.
- Are all AMV Kids clothes unisex?
That’s what we wanted to do. We've chosen a neutral colour palette to match the rest of your mini me's wardrobe. The cuts remain loose and basic - ideal for passing down clothes to siblings.
- So, a line for babies soon?
We now dress people aged 3 to 99. But why not (also) cater for babies under 3?
