At American Vintage we are continuing to showcase young creative designers. In France and the rest of Europe, from 11th to 29th April six local artists have been given free reign in our window and store design. Portraits.

Julie Brouant
Paris Tiquetonne
Ceramicist and illustrator, this artist takes a new look at prints, colours and objects from the last century, not without a certain pop approach.
Her style: Naive, colourful, inspired by popular art.
Her creation for American Vintage: “I used a range of pale, restrained colours selecting my type of elements that match the brand universe. I created a more ventilated and slightly more minimalistic composition than my regular interior designs.”

Mélanie Marasse
Aix-en-Provence
Known for her wall frescoes and painted fabrics, she colours her illustrations with natural pigments, a reflection of American Vintage’s DNA.
Her style: Graphic.
Her creation for American Vintage: “I was really inspired by the colours of the pieces in the collection. I began with a Memphis vibe, very 1980s, which brings together geometric shapes and bold colours.”

Mathilde Vesterskov
Copenhagen
This painter brings the female face to life with her curling, curving creations. And she uses a variety of media.
Her style in one word: Abstract.
Her creation for American Vintage: “I focused on the idea of relaxing, chilling and pleasure. I’m as much an artist as I am a storyteller.”
@bymathildevesterskovMadalena Pequito
Lisbon Liberdad
Colours everywhere. This painter based in Lisbon revisits personal and societal themes making great use of blocks of bright colours.
Her style: Pop and graphic.
Her creation for American Vintage: “I wanted to create a piece that reflects both my personality and my artistic vision, combining my paintings with American Vintage pieces. Hence the trees and leaves that echo the brand’s authenticity.”
@madalenajpequitoElenia Beretta
Berlin Mitte Women
An Italian artist living in Germany’s capital, she is mainly influenced by cinema, old photos, art and literature.
Her style: Colourful and surrealist.
Her creation for American Vintage: “I wanted to connect the brand to an experience with friends, in a forest not far from a lake. It’s a way for me to bring nature back to the city.”

Laura Geeart
London Covent Garden
Based in London, this visual artist explores nature, colour and emotions. Creations that inspire a love of life and highlight these little moments of everyday happiness.
Her style: Poetic.
“Her creation for American Vintage: “I was inspired by summer and nature. I really love American Vintage’s colour palette and that was my starting point for the window.”
