At American Vintage, we like clothing that lasts. That’s why we have focused on the best materials ever since our creation in 2005. However, sometimes these natural fabrics can show signs of the passing time. When this happens, the experts at TILLI (a French service) are now in charge of altering and repairing your favourite AMV pieces.

Who repairs and alters the clothing?

We call them Tillists. They are the artisans and seamstresses carefully selected by TILLI for their talent. Clothing is their passion.

Which pieces can I send in?

When you make an appointment, you can choose the type of alteration you would like. If the piece that you want to send in is not on the list, that means that TILLI does not accept this piece (yet).

How much does this service cost?

Exactly the same price charged by your neighbourhood tailor. TILLI has aligned its prices with those of the market. The price list can be consulted on their website, here.

Can I benefit from the Repair Bonus?

Yes! TILLI has earned the Refashion label, which means that you can receive 6 to 25 euros off certain textile repairs at the time of payment.

When can I make an appointment?

When you make a home appointment, you can choose up to x time slots (7 days a week, from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.). TILLI will tell you which Tillists are available during these times.

How long do the alterations and repairs take?

From the moment the clothing is picked up at your home by a Tillist, the processing time is usually 3 to 5 days. When you send in your clothing, the processing time is slightly longer – up to 7 days to allow for shipping time. You will then receive your pieces 2 or 3 business days later (depending on the selected delivery mode). For urgent requests, please contact the TILLI help desk at +33 (0)1 84 80 05 39.

What can I do if there isn’t a Tillist nearby?

Don’t worry! Simply send in your pieces by post. Once they are altered or repaired, they will be sent back to you.

Can I change my mind?

Of course! You can change or cancel your appointment up to 8 hours before the scheduled time. If cancelling between 8 hours and 2 hours before the scheduled time, a €14 fee will automatically be billed. If you cancel or change the order less than 2 hours before the appointment, you will be charged €25.

Can I drop off my clothing in a store?

No, the TILLI service is only available on its French platform. This service has Tillists in many big cities (who can pick up your pieces at home). You can also send in your pieces by post if there aren’t any Tillists near you. The shipping fee is included in the price estimate.

What if there is a problem with my alteration?

An adjustment appointment is included with all TILLI services, in case there is a need for additional alterations/repairs. If the problem cannot be resolved, all alterations are insured by AXA. TILLI will do everything it can to resolve the problem. More information here.
