Hyères 2025 : Gabriel Mrabi wins the amv photography prize
This Saturday, October 18, 2025,
the spanish Gabriel Mrabi won the American Vintage Photography Prize.
He succeeds Basile Pelletier,
who exhibited an exclusive series of photographs at this edition.

Gabriel Mrabi, 2025 winner
For 4 days, American Vintage exhibited the photographs of the 10 festival finalists at the heart of Villa Noailles in Hyères. At the end of an emotion-filled weekend, the American Vintage Photography Prize was awarded to Gabriel Mrabi.
"Through my images, I seek to convey Buñuel's spirit: surrealism as a way of life, its symbols hidden in the ordinary, and the constant tension between beauty and danger. Mexico offered me fragments of raw mysticism, Seville revealed its baroque shadows, and Paris its ambiguous elegance. Far more than simple places, these locations became characters in their own right, each carrying its own story and contradictions."
— Gabriel Mrabi
Soon, an exhibition with AMV
For the next edition of the Hyères Festival, Gabriel Mrabi will create a fashion series conceived entirely with American Vintage. An opportunity for the Marseille-based label to continue supporting young creators.

Un temps pour vivre by Basile Pelletier
It was Basile Pelletier who won the American Vintage Photography Prize 2024 exactly one year ago. For this 2025 edition of the festival, he therefore presented a new series entitled Un temps pour vivre (A Time to Live). Captured in Taiwan, these photographs bear witness to contemporary youth while paying tribute to Taiwanese New Cinema.
