In 2025, American Vintage is celebrating its 20th birthday -
and opening the doors of its factories for the occasion. We're take you behind the scenes to Portugal, Bulgaria, Morocco and Tunisia to see how your favourite clothes are made.
Through meetings and visits, we are weaving the story of our products, focusing on materials, expertise and moments in life. A story of fabrics, partnerships and friendships on a journey around the Mediterranean.

Portugal

Cotton every which way - from jersey to fleece

Welcome to Portugal : Manuel, Olinda, Liliana and Pedro invite us into their factories and offices.

Here, it's all 100% cotton – t-shirts in jersey, sweatshirts and jogging pants in fleece.
From spinning to production, we give you direct access to the production lines.

Bulgaria

It’s all about the knits - from knitting to finishing

We’re off to Bulgaria.
We meet Grégoire and Manuel in the factory where our knitwear is made.
The yarn arrives in balls first, then the fabric is knitted.
Jumpers and cardigans are made, ironed, brushed and finished.

The result : soft knits with a perfect feel in natural, bright and marl colours - AMV's DNA.

Tunisia

Denim expertise and the quest for the perfect jeans

Next stop : Tunisia.
It's time to talk denim – Salaheddine, Wafa and Éric tell us about their techniques.
Innovation happens here at the cutting-edge of technology.
The cotton fabric is stretched, cut, assembled, dyed, washed, faded and stabilise, in a circuit that uses recycled water.

AMV's speciality is stone washing, a process that uses resin stones.
The objective ? The perfect pair of jeans

Morocco

Warp and weft, flowing fabrics and denim: woven flexibility

Last stop : Morocco.
Wiaam, Samira, Ismaïl and Ismaël work with us on our woven fabrics.
In production, you'll find the essentials from our collections: warp and weft, flowing fabrics and denim for tops, jeans, satin and corduroy fabrics.
